Renowned film-maker Jean-Michel Carré has written and directed more than 50 films. His career has been built on his far-reaching approach to themes such as education, prison, prostitution, mental illness. As the years have gone by the style of his films has evolved but his objectives remain the same. Many have won awards. One of his latest films Kursk, a submarine in troubled waters (2004) is an investigational documentary thriller that has been broadcast in more than twenty countries across the world. His latest documentary The Putin System provides a close investigation of the current regime in Russia.
