Andrzej Fidyk

Film and Studio Director, Lecturer, Member of the European Film Academy who since the beginning of the 1980´s has made a huge impact on the international documentary film scene. After five years at BBC, where he made several major documentary films, he returned to Polish television as Head of Documentaries. Drawing upon his experiences at the BBC he practically invented the polish TV-documentary genre and created a thriving department that went on to achieve great success. From 2004 to 2006 he was employed at Polish Television as advisor to TVP president Jan Dworak on matters of programming and scheduling. Since his first international success The President, Fidyk has made over 40 documentary films all over the world, many of them receiving some of the documentary film circuits finest prizes.
